Discover the stables of Quebec!
•Posted on March 26 2026
For the past few months, I've been traveling to stables throughout Quebec to promote Oliméga farm's camelina products.
Each visit is a new discovery. Sometimes, I find myself in ultra-chic stables, with chrome stalls, sparkling chandeliers, and aisles so pristine you'd almost hesitate to walk on them with your boots. Other times, they're small private stables where an old dog comes to greet me, where fences are held together by a wire and a pin, and where the charm lies in simplicity and passion.
There are also those lively riding schools, full of slightly chubby ponies, where each bridle hanging in the tack room has an affectionate name: Bonbon, Gratouille, Biscuit…
No matter where I go, I meet open, curious owners who are genuinely invested in the well-being of their animals.
And what strikes me, beyond the differences in style, budget, or objective, is that there is a common denominator among all these stables: the pursuit of holistic health.
Holistic health is much more than the absence of disease. It's an approach that touches everything: natural and balanced nutrition, daily quality of life, stress management, prevention, and even the human-animal bond. In the equestrian world, this translates into attention to nutrition (such as the anti-inflammatory and omega-3 benefits of camelina), the quality of the environment, regular physical work, and harmony between rider, horse, and nature.
Whether it's a prestigious stud farm or a small family stable, there's the same desire everywhere to offer horses—and oneself—a healthier, more balanced life, more respectful of body-heart-mind health.
